Rose Portrait Paintings
The Rose Portrait series honors those whose lives have been, are being, and will be impacted by policing violence.
Rose Portraits hold space to acknowledge and honor those whose deaths and abuses do not result in global protest. The names chanted only in the hearts of family and friends.
Fifty drawings and fifty paintings comprise this series. Fifty is the number of Jubilee celebrations, of release from both debt and slavery. Each portrait is an individual rose from a single rose bush. None perfect, but each worthy of time and attention.
The purchase price of each sale will be donated to the Equal Justice Initiative.
