There is a saying that artists like to repeat, "Good art will not match your sofa."
Well, SOMETIMES it looks MARVELOUS with your sofa!
Preparing for a solo show at Crittendon Studios in Fort Worth I asked the owner, George, for his favorite colors. His answer, "Orange and blue." Then I looked at his brilliant, bright orange sofa and I KNEW I would paint not just a good but a great painting that would indeed MATCH HIS SOFA!
You don't need an orange sofa for this painting to find its perfect place in your heart and space. I am so pleased with this painting. Family duties had drawn me away from the easel for a couple months and this was my return to action.
As nobody says, except sometimes I do, "YEE HAW!"
